Bookkeeping and Tax Filing in Foshan

Bookkeeping means keeping statutory accounts together with monthly and annual tax filings. In China the obligation starts once tax registration is complete, whether or not there is revenue. We handle monthly bookkeeping, VAT and corporate income tax filing, annual reconciliation and the annual report for foreign-invested companies and representative offices, with reporting to your head office in English.

Deadlines falling on public holidays are extended. Late filing brings penalties and lowers the enterprise tax credit rating; persistent failures can lead to non-normal taxpayer status.

VAT status: small-scale or general

The choice is essentially whether your customers need to deduct input VAT. If your main customers are general VAT taxpayers demanding special invoices, you will usually need general status even at modest scale.

Where foreign-invested companies get caught

We issue a monthly filing summary with the accounting points that matter, and raise document problems in the month they appear rather than at year end.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in English?
Yes. Proposals, monthly summaries and financial statements are provided in English, with the Chinese statutory books maintained in parallel.
Who signs the tax filings?
Filings are submitted under the company's own electronic tax account, authorised by the legal representative. We prepare and submit, and the company remains the taxpayer of record.
What happens if we miss a filing?
Late filing triggers penalties and lowers the tax credit rating. Repeated misses can result in non-normal taxpayer status, which freezes invoicing and complicates bank and licence matters.
Can you take over from another provider mid-year?
Yes, but the handover needs a cleanup first: reconcile bank statements to the books, clear suspense accounts, rebuild missing periods and deal with abnormal invoices. Plan for that work before the next filing deadline.
Do representative offices need bookkeeping too?
Yes. An RO must keep books and file returns, including nil returns when there is no activity. Its funding flows from the head office need to be documented.
